LAKELAND, Fla. - Currently on a five-game winning streak, the Fire welcome in Florida Memorial University for a three-game conference set. The high-powered Southeastern offense, accompanied by a supporting pitching staff is a combination not many opponents have found an answer for.

Offensive Onslaught:
- Throughout the season there has been no shortage of run support. The Fire have outscored opponents 304-116.
- The top four Southeastern hitters,
Mike D'Acunti,
Alex Stephens,
Danny Acevedo, and
Luis Diaz all possess averages above the .400 mark.
- In Sun Conference play D'Acunti has hit .489 with four home runs, 19 RBIs, and tallied an .830 slugging percentage.
- Speed also plays a substantial role into the Fire offense.
Marcus Guzman leads all of the Sun Conference in stolen bases with 22 and has only been caught two times all season long.
- According to the Massey Ratings, the Fire have the 10th best offense in all of NAIA baseball.
Toeing the Slab:
- The pitching staff has done its job all season long. As a unit the staff ranks 1st in all of the NAIA in total batters struck out (335) and 2nd in earned run average (2.73).

Nate Harmon all rank in the top 15 in total wins.
- The back-end of the bullpen has also been sensational.
John Jaeger has struck out 33 hitters in 25 innings of work. Jaeger, the native of Tracy, California, has also collected six saves on the year which is good for 7th in all of the NAIA.
The Lions:
- Florida Memorial is currently trying to snap a five game slide.
- Despite the unfortunate year, Emilio Marrufo has been a consistent contributor all season long. The native of Merida, Mexico is hitting .438 with 11 RBIs and leads the team with 11 stolen bases.
- In a close 3-2 loss against Keiser, Sergio Chil hit his first homerun of his collegiate career to give the Lions an early 1-0 lead.
- On the hill, Edgar Aparicio is two-and-two on the year and has held opposing hitters to a .267 average.
Previous Meetings with the Lions:
- Dating back to 2009, the Fire lead the series against the Lions 18-4.
- In last year's contests, the Fire swept all three games by scores of 16-9, 14-3, and 11-0.
