LAKELAND, Fla. - A baseball team does not amass a 15-game winning streak without executing in all facets of the game. The Fire will travel to St. Petersburg, Florida where they will take on NCAA Division II Eckerd College on Wednesday in aim to continue to play fundamentally sound baseball.

Power Surge: The Fire's offense is a force to be reckoned with. As a team, the Fire are hitting .373 with a slugging percentage of .578. Through 15 games four members of the Fire are hitting over .400. Luis Diaz leads the way with an impressive .508 average, 24 RBIs, and three homers.
Alex Stephens walked Thomas off twice which aided in a three game sweep of the Night Hawks. The transfer from Morehead State has launched three homers with a .481 average and ranks 4th in all of the NAIA in runs scored with 22.
The native of Dix Hills, New York, Mike D'Acunti, has contributed his fair share of offensive damage. D'Acunti, splitting time behind the plate and at first base, has racked up a .492 on-base percentage along with 25 hits in 56 at bats.
As a collective group, the Fire have outscored opponents 150-48 and lead all of the NAIA in triples, and stolen bases.
Toein' the Slab: The Fire pitching staff has been every part of effective. The staff combines for an ERA of 2.92, has held opposing hitters to a .236 average, and 2nd in all of the NAIA in total strikeouts with 128.
The back-end of the bullpen has been able to come in an execute pitches in big situations. Adrian Rivera and John Jaeger have been cornerstones in the bullpen. The two men combined have only surrendered three runs in 20 ? innings of work and are yet to blemish their ERA.
About Eckerd: The Tritons have struggled against Sun Conference Opponents this season. So far, the Tritons have squared off against Webber international where they suffered a 17-4 loss, Warner where they fell 9-2, and Ave Maria who they defeated in a nip-and-tuck affair 8-5.
Offensively, Nick Conti and Sam Cochrane have been leading the Tritons. Conti leads the team with a .421 average while Cochrane is one hit behind him with a .385 average.
The pitching staff has been leaving the ball up in the zone to start the 2017 season. Combined the Triton staff has a 7.96 ERA. Dillon McCullough has been a bright spot for the staff tallying 25 strikeouts in 13 ? innings.
