LAKELAND, Fla. – Southeastern men's soccer suffered their second loss of the season and moved to 3-2 last week with a 3-1 loss to former TSC member, and current NCAA DII opponent, Embry-Riddle.
Freshman
Grayson Wilkes began the scoring, putting the Fire up by one in the 25
th minute with an assist from
Pedro Ivo Dias. The lead was short lived, however, when the Eagles responded just over a minute later, then took the lead for good thirty seconds after that.
"We felt we were in control, but lacked discipline against a talented team," said Coach
Clay Roberts. "This game shows us that we have the ability to play at a high level against quality opponents, but that we must also maintain our discipline for 90 minutes.
Opportunities were plentiful as Southeastern fired 12 shots to Embry's five and had eleven corner kicks throughout the game.
