SAINT LEO, Fla. – In an exhibition game this evening, the Fire were defeated by the Lions of NCAA Division II, Saint Leo University, 80-58.
The Fire started the scoring with a Cassidy Block bucket to go up by two; the only lead they would see in the game.
Turnovers haunted both teams as the Fire committed 25 to the Lions' 18. Over a third of the Lions' points were scores after Fire turnovers.
Hannah Demarest led the Fire in points and rebounds with 16 and six, respectively. Following in points was Kristen Scholl with eight.
"They exposed a lot of our weaknesses that we need to work on," said Coach Jody Martinez. "It was a great exhibition game to have at this point in the season."
The Fire next take the court on Thursday, December 4th at the Furnace. Tipoff is schedules for 7:00 p.m.
