Box Score LAKELAND Fla. – Alyssa Ramos' career-high 29 points powered the Fire to a 94-52 victory over the Falcons of Florida College.
"Alyssa is a great shooter. She had 29 points in 23 minutes and hit nine threes," said Coach Jody Martinez. "She was in a rhythm the first half and she felt it almost the whole game."
Ramos' fifth three pointer of the game gave the Fire a 35-4 lead with 7:47 left in the first half. Her sixth gave the Fire their biggest lead of the first half, 45-13 with 4:15 to play.
The Fire never relinquished the lead, and enjoyed a 29 point buffer at the half, up 52-23. They would realize their largest lead of the night with five minutes left to play in the second half, up an impressive 51 points over the Falcons.
Bailey Hooker followed Ramos in scoring with 17 points while Tiara Young added 15 to the Fire total; a career high for Young.
Leading the Fire in total rebounds on the night was Hannah Demarest with nine. Kristen Scholl and Cassidy Block both had eight.
"We shot with confidence," said Coach Jody Martinez. "Overall, I thought they executed the game plan well which was to keep it simple.
The Fire continue their season on November 6th as they take on William Carey University at the Furnace.
