AT INDIANA: Won two open championships during his redshirt year in 2016-17...Was the Alma Open Champion and Greyhound Open Champion at 197...Went 2-2 at Midlands Championship which included a win over No. 15 Brad Jonson of Oklahoma in the wrestlebacks.

HIGH SCHOOL: Four-time state placer, three-time finalist, and two-time IHSAA State Champions under Sean McGinley...Was the 2016 IHSAA Wrestler of the Year and posted a 168-7 career record...Two-time NHSCA National Champion...Former USA Wrestling National Champion. 

PERSONAL: Son of Tami Rypel.
