Amanda Phelps enters her second season as head coach of Southeastern University's women's volleyball program, following a standout debut campaign in 2025.
In her first year at the helm, Phelps led the Fire to a 19-6 overall record, including a dominant 7-1 mark at home. The team posted a ten-match win streak during the season and secured a spot in the Sun Conference Tournament. Southeastern swept Keiser 3-0 in the opening round before falling to top-seeded and 10th-ranked ranked St. Thomas in the semifinals. Four Fire athletes earned All-Sun Conference honors, and Ally Postlethwaite was recognized as the Sun Conference Champion of Character.
Prior to joining Southeastern, Phelps built a successful program at Lake-Sumter State College in Leesburg, where she was named Region Coach of the Year twice and guided the Lakers to their first two national tournament appearances in school history. Her 2021 squad set a program record with 25 wins and captured the NJCAA Division II Gulf District Tournament title.
Phelps also launched the volleyball program at Lake Minneola High School, leading the team to two district championships over six seasons. Her coaching experience includes roles with Top Select Volleyball Academy, Tsunami Volleyball Club, and collegiate stints as a graduate assistant and assistant coach at the University of West Georgia.
Amanda and her husband, Kevin, reside in Winter Garden with their two children, Hudson and Harper.
