Peter Gutsche is entering his first season with the SEU women's soccer program.
Gutsche brings over 25 years of coaching experience to the Fire staff. He has served the Tampa Bay community his entire coaching career, focusing on youth development throughout his coaching tenure.
Peter also currently serves as a coach at the Tampa Dynamo FC Soccer Club and as the college recruiting coordinator for the club.
Gutsche was a staff coach for US Soccer’s National Training Center from 2015 until 2016. His other club experiences include stints with the Tampa Bay United Rowdies ECNL Girls (2017-18), Florida Hawks FC (2012-17), where he also served as the girls director, and West Florida Flames FC (1995-2011).
Coach Gutsche played professional soccer in Mexico with second division club Atayde, and with the Florida Select U23’s.
In his youth, Gutsche played in West Germany for youth club Bramfled FC and trained in East Germany with Hallescher Fussball Club.
Gutsche also holds a USSF D Coaching License, in addition to the NSCAA Level VI diploma and various other certifications. Peter has received the Florida Youth Soccer Association Girl’s Coach of the Year and the United Soccer Coaches Association Boy’s Regional Coach of the Year awards.
Gutsche has also held positions as a match evaluator with the NASL, Field Marshall for the Tampa Bay Mutiny in MLS and in field operations for the US Men’s National team at Raymond James Stadium.
Peter, and his wife Dawn have been married for 30 years. They have three children, Karina, Karli and Josef. They also have one grandson, Peyton. Gutsche and his wife are both active in their church, Fishhawk Fellowship.
