Biography

GRADUATE (2026): Essig batted .321 in 57 games, starting 38. He racked up 43 hits with 34 runs batted in and five home runs. He slugged .493, and got on base .474 percent of the time, a percentage boosted by 20 walks and 20 hit by pitch. When he wasn't in right field, he was courtesy running, and scored 59 runs and stole 16 bases.

PERSONAL: Son of Jeffrey and Karin. Favorite sports teams are the Dallas Cowboys and the Texas Rangers. Has been featured in the Wise County Messenger. Hobbies include hunting, fishing, and camping. High School coach was Jayson McCoy. Married Whitney Essig in 2025. Favorite Bible verse is 1 John 4:4.
