SENIOR (2024): Smith, the NAIA Pitcher of the Year, was a catalyst in his 17 appearances, 16 of which were starts. In his appearances he turned in a 12-0 record, pitched four complete games, and boasted a 1.87 ERA. In 96.1 innings he allowed only 25 runs, earning 20. His 130 strikeouts were third overall in the NAIA as batters hit only .172 against him. He racked up 10+ strikeouts in six different starts, one of which was a complete game win over Keiser University where he dominated, throwing 12 strikeouts and allowing only one hit in a 4-0, seven inning win. In another win, the Fire defeated Science and Arts in the NAIA Opening Round behind his season high 13 strikeouts over nine innings. His excellence earned an array of accolades, including ABCA/Rawlings NAIA National Pitcher of the Year, Sun Conference Pitcher of the Year, First-Team NAIA All-American, First-Team All-Sun Conference, and six total Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week’s.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Led the Florida Gulf Coast with 25 appearances on the mound, including one start in 2022. Went 3-1 with a 4.21 ERA and 36 strikeouts in 47.0 innings. Held opponents to a .230 batting average. Led the nation in strikeouts throughout the regular season in 2021 at Eastern Florida State College with 103 in 70 innings of work.
