JUNIOR (2023-24): Vassell saw time in all 28 games, starting 15. He was named Second-Team All-Sun Conference after scoring 378 points on 53 percent shooting and 39 percent three point shooting. The forward added a team high 191 rebounds as well as 36 assists, 24 steals, and 18 blocks. Throughout the season he totaled 17 10+ point games, and six 20+ point performances, as well as five double-doubles. Over a six game streak he scored 18+ points per game with a 26 point, 13 rebound outburst in a 81-78 win over Cumberland (TN). In a win over New College of Florida, he added another double-double with 15 points and a season high 19 rebounds.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Spent last season at Miles College where he averaged 18.8 minutes, 9.3 points, 1.9 assists, and 5.3 rebounds per game. Shot 46.2% from the field and 43.3% from three point range. SIAC Conference Champion. Spent his freshman season at UVA-Wise where he averaged 11.7 points, 2.2 assists, and 6.1 rebounds per game while shooting 47.1% from the field.

HIGH SCHOOL: Coach was coach Mayweather and coach C Jack. Two-time 6A Region 8 Champions (2019-20, 2020-21). 6A state final runner-up in 2019-20. 6A State Sweet 16 finish in 2020-21. First Team All-County and All-Region in 2020-21. AAU team was the Georgia Canes and AAU coach was coach Bryce.
