Randy Lee was named the head coach of the Fire men's basketball team in July of 2022.
In his first season as the head coach, Lee's group won eight-straight games to secure The Sun Conference regular season title and win the tournament championship. Southeastern then defeated Union, which was ranked third in the final poll of the season during the first round of the NAIA National Championship then topped host Faulkner to advance to the Round of 16 of the national tournament for the first time since 2014.
Lee returned to the Southeastern coaching staff before the 2020 season after spending a year at Polk State. his primary responsibilities were as the team's Director of Recruiting, scheduling, and community engagement.
Lee spent four seasons at SEU as an assistant coach under R-Jay Barsh, helping the Fire make back-to-back NAIA Division II National Championship Tournament appearances and claim the 2018 Sun Conference Tournament Championship.
Lee guided Lake Wales High School to a pair of district titles, and two Elite Eight finishes in the state tournament. In 2014, Lee was named the FACA District Coach of the Year for his efforts.
In addition to his success at the high school ranks, Lee has spent time collegiately in the NCCAA, NCAA Division II, and NCAA Division I.
Lee spent three seasons at Tennessee Temple University as the head coach, leading the team to the Regional Final. He also served as head coach at NCAA Division II University of Texas Permian Basin as well as the University of Maine at Machias.
As an assistant coach, Lee spent time at Palm Beach Atlantic, Delaware State, Centenary, and Maine, as well as spending a year at the University of Miami as a graduate assistant.
Lee is a graduate of the University of South Carolina, and holds a master's from Virginia Commonwealth.
