Mayhan was promoted from graduate assistant to assistant coach for the 2023-24 season.

While serving as the Graduate Assistant for the men’s basketball program, Mayhan earned his Master’s
degree in Organizational Leadership.

Mayhan has also served at the Lakeland YMCA as a Sports Coordinator and coach from May of 2022 to
August 2022 where he assisted in the development of youth and adult sports programs while
coordinating the Youth and Men’s Basketball League.

Prior to that, Mayhan spent his summers from 2016 to 2020 as an Eden YMCA Youth Development
Professional at Morehead High School. He was responsible for providing mentorship to children by
implementing fine motor activities for developmental growth. He also assisted with coaching and
training of players on the Morehead High School basketball team.

Before joining the Fire, Mayhan earned his Bachelor of Science in Exercise Science with a minor in
Coaching from Chowan University in Murfreesboro, N.C. from August 2017 to May of 2021.

Last season, Mayhan aided the Fire to a 21-13 record, Sun Conference Tournament Championship, and
trip to the NAIA National Championship in Kansas City, Missouri.
