Kenny Strong is entering his 15th season coaching football and first year at the collegiate level in 2022, working the running backs.
Previously, Strong was the head coach at Kathleen High School in Lakeland, and has worked at Lakeland High School helping the Dreadnaughts win a 7A State Championship in 2018. Strong has also worked at Lake Gibson High School where they were the 6A State Runner-Up in 2016. He also has experience at Bartow, Auburndale, West Gadsden, and LaBelle High Schools.Â
Strong was born in Lakeland and is a 2004 graduate of Lakeland High where he was a five-sport letterman in football, basketball, track & field, weightlifting, and wrestling while also being a member of the National Honor Society.
Strong attended Florida A&M University on an academic scholarship and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Physical Education.Â
Strong has two sons, Kenneth III and Kyree Strong.Â
