Kenny Strong

Kenny Strong is entering his 18th season as a football coach and fourth with the Fire running backs. During this time at SEU, he has developed All Conference selections Bryan Bell (2022), Josiah Neos (2023), and Curtis Kimmons (2025). He recruits the Polk County area and has signed over 30 athletes from the area to continue their academic and athletic careers at Southeastern.

Prior to SEU, Strong was the Head Coach at Kathleen High School in Lakeland, and has worked at Lakeland High School helping the Dreadnaughts win a 7A State Championship in 2018. Strong worked at Lake Gibson High School where they were the 6A State Runner-Up in 2016 and also has experience at Bartow, Auburndale, West Gadsden, and LaBelle High Schools. 

Strong was born in Lakeland and is a 2004 graduate of Lakeland High where he was a five-sport letterman in football, basketball, track & field, weightlifting, and wrestling while also being a member of the National Honor Society.

Strong attended Florida A&M University on an academic scholarship and graduated in 2008 with a Bachelor's of Science degree in Physical Education. 

Strong has two sons, Kenneth III and Kyree Strong.
