Gast is in his first season as a graduate assistant for SEU athletic marketing, as well as a volunteer assistant coach with the SEU baseball program.

Gast is a 2019 summa cum laude graduate of Southeastern, with his B.S. in Marketing. Kasey was a three-year pitcher on the Fire baseball team, where he helped guide SEU to the 2018 NAIA National Championship, the first NAIA national title of any sport in school history.

At SEU, Kasey was the 2019 Sun Conference Champion of Character, as well as the 2019 NAIA Hank Burbridge Champion of Character Award recipient. He is also a two-time NAIA Daktronics Scholar-Athlete

Gast has worked for the MLB RBI program in inner city Washington DC, running clinics alongside MLB players and coaches, and as as a mentor for the Baltimore Urban Baseball Association, teaching both baseball and life skills to underprivileged youth.  

Kasey has previously served as Assistant Coach for the Adirondack Trailblazers in the Perfect Game Collegiate Baseball League, Head Coach for Under Armour Legends (Lakeland-based travel baseball organization), and the Social Media Director for IBC Baseball.

Gast is pursuing his Masters in Organizational Leadership at Southeastern.
