GRADUATE (2025): McDonald started eight of his 17 appearances, posting a 6-6 record with a 6.72 ERA. Striking out 68 batters across 69.2 innings of work. He was awarded Sun Conference Pitcher of the Week for his outing against the University of Saint Francis (Ind.). In that performance he struck out eight, only allowing three hits in five innings as the Fire won 3-1. He worked hard as well in the classroom, earning CSC Academic All-District, Sun Conference All-Academic, and NAIA Daktronic Scholar-Athlete.

SENIOR (2024): McDonald posted a 2-0 record and a 3.93 ERA over 16 appearances. The righty threw 18.1 innings and struck out 35 while only walking eight. He held opposing batters to a .254 batting average and earned one save. His first win of the season came in a 11-4 win over #19 Benedictine Mesa (AZ) he pitched 2.2 innings and struck out six. Two appearances later he dominated #9 Taylor University in a five strikeout performance over 2.1 innings, allowing one hit. The Fire went on to win 5-0.

PREVIOUS SCHOOL: Named the Sun Conference Freshman of the Year in 2021 at Webber after posting a 3.16 ERA and 3-2 record in 12 starts. Tossed 79.2 innings while striking out a team-high 67 batters. Ranked first in innings pitched per game (6.64), was third in earned run average and in total innings pitched, was sixth in total strikeouts, was 10th in opponents' batting average (.277), and was 11th in strikeouts per game (7.57).

PERSONAL: Son of Amy and Shawn. Volunteered with a church clean up and school hurricane clean up. Favorite team is the Tampa Bay Rays and favorite athletes include Tyler Glasnow and Jordan Speith. Hobbies include playing golf, surfing, and coffee. Overcame Tommy John surgery.
