GRADUATE (2024): Bonga saved his best for last, the graduate defensive back had nine pass breakups which ranks second all-time in single season breakups. His three interceptions were a team best, and his 20 solo tackles was third among the Fire defense, finishing the season with 22 total tackles. Also nabbing a fumble recovery and a tackle for a loss of four yards. In a 37-0 win over the University of Fort Lauderdale he scored on a fumble return, in the season opener he returned an interception 56 yards for a touchdown leading to a 34-0 win over Faulkner. His incredible play did not go unnoticed, he was awarded Sun Conference Defensive Player of the Week for his pick-six against Faulkner. Postseason accolades were given, as Bonga earned First-Team All-Sun Conference, and NAIA Third-Team All-America.

SENIOR (2023): Played in nine games… Had 24 total tackles with 16 solo and eight assisted including two games with three solo tackles, one in a win against Webber International, the other against Florida International… Had five pass breakups.

JUNIOR (2022): Played in 9 games… Had 24 total tackles with 18 solo and six assisted… Had two interceptions, one against Florida Memorial on 9/10, and the other against Florida Memorial on 10/29… Had five  breakups… one forced fumble and one fumble return.

SOPHOMORE (2021): Saw time in 10 contests and recorded 32 total tackles, 25 of which were solo.

FRESHMAN (2020): Saw time in all six games for the Fire as a freshman... Recorded 14 total tackles on the season including a season high six tackles against Ave Maria on November 19th.

PERSONAL: Son of Nicole Makelete and Wiclyff Bonga... Cousin played football at Alabama.
