LAKELAND, Fla. — Southeastern has been selected as one of the 10 host sites for the 2026 NAIA Baseball National Championship Opening Rounds, the national office announced Friday. The selection marks the second consecutive season the Fire will host the Opening Round at Ted A. Broer Stadium.
Southeastern posted a 3-0 record in the 2025 Opening Round, winning its home bracket without a loss.
Opening Round play is scheduled for May 11–14, as teams from across the country begin their postseason pursuit. Before the action gets underway, the full 46-team national championship field will be revealed live on the PlayNAIA YouTube channel at 4 p.m. CT on May 6, setting the bracket and matchups for the week.
Once play begins, 46 teams will compete across 10 host sites nationwide in a double-elimination format. Six sites will feature five-team brackets, while four will host four-team fields, all vying for a spot in the next stage of the championship.
At the conclusion of Opening Round competition, 10 teams will advance to the NAIA Baseball World Series at historic Harris Field in Lewiston, Idaho, beginning May 22.
Host sites were selected by the NAIA National Office in consultation with the National Selection Committee. Selections were based on a combination of geography, facility quality, and overall host readiness, following the April 15 bid deadline.
Four days of Opening Round play mark the start of each team's championship run, with every game streaming free on the Urban Edge Network.
