Fire Place Record Six on All-Sun Conference Teams

All six starters honored as the Fire lead the Sun Conference; Fernandez earns back-to-back First Team nods

LAKELAND, Fla. — Southeastern Men's Tennis set a program record with six Sun Conference All-Conference selections, as all six of the Fire's regular singles starters earned recognition following the 2026 season. Keiser finished second with three selections.

The six honorees mark the most in program history and highlight Southeastern's depth across both singles and doubles lineups.

Southeastern placed three players on the First Team and three on the Second Team.

On the First Team, Javier Gallego delivered one of the most complete seasons in the conference, going 13-3 in singles, including a 2-0 mark at No. 1 and 11-3 at No. 2. He added a 10-4 doubles record, competing across all three positions with a 7-4 mark at the top spot.

Gonzalo Fernandez, a First Team selection for the second consecutive season, remained unbeaten in singles at 10-0, splitting time between No. 3 (2-0) and No. 4 (8-0). He also contributed a 9-3 doubles record, going 5-2 at No. 2 and 4-1 at No. 3.

Piero Fernandez rounded out the First Team selections, earning All-Conference honors for the third straight year after Second Team nods in 2024 and 2025. He paired a strong doubles campaign—11-5 overall, including 7-4 at No. 1—with a 3-6 singles record while competing in the top two positions.

The Second Team was highlighted by Pedro De La Riva, who posted a 12-1 singles record across three positions, including a 9-1 mark at No. 3, along with a 9-3 doubles record spread throughout the lineup.

Nikolas Kumria remained perfect in singles at 9-0, going 4-0 at No. 5 and 5-0 at No. 6, while also adding a doubles win at No. 3 to finish 1-0.

Aristeidis Lafazanos completed the group with a 7-3 singles record across Nos. 4-6 and a 9-7 mark in doubles, highlighted by a 6-3 record at the No. 3 position.
