Fire Place Four on Sun All-Conference Teams

Santos, Traylor earn First Team honors; Mikkelson and Nixon named to Second Team

LAKELAND, Fla. — Southeastern Men's Basketball placed four student-athletes on the 2025-26 Sun Conference Men's Basketball All-Conference Teams, the league office announced Wednesday. Senior guard Mylo Santos and junior forward/center Daivion Traylor were named to the First Team, while graduate forward Nathan Mikkelson and junior guard Jayson Nixon earned Second Team recognition.

All four players received All-Conference honors for the first time in their careers.

The selections mark a significant achievement for the Fire. It is the first time since the 2022-23 season that Southeastern has produced two First Team honorees and just the second time in program history that four players have earned All-Conference distinction in the same season, joining the 2018-19 squad.

Santos caps his senior campaign as one of the Sun Conference's most consistent guards. Starting all 29 games, he averages 17.6 points per game, ranking third in the league, and stands second in total points with 511. He shoots 51.8 percent from the field and converts 111 free throws, also second-most in the conference. Santos has 10 games of 20 or more points, including a season-high 32 on Nov. 8 at Columbia (S.C.). He has added 74 assists and ranks second in the conference with 49 steals, serving as a steady two-way presence in SEU's backcourt and setting the tone on both ends of the floor.

Traylor earns First Team honors after delivering one of the most efficient seasons in the NAIA. The junior leads the nation in field goal percentage at 73.6 percent, converting 162 of 220 attempts. He averages 14.7 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while ranking first in the Sun Conference in offensive rebounds (111). Traylor has six 20-point performances, highlighted by a 24-point, 16-rebound outing at Ave Maria on Jan. 21. He has collected 202 rebounds and 24 blocks on the season, anchoring Southeastern's interior play and providing a consistent scoring option in the paint.

Mikkelson earns Second Team recognition following a season defined by consistency and versatility. The Palm City native averages 11.5 points and 8.1 rebounds per game while starting all 29 contests. He ranks first in the conference in defensive rebounds (175) and third in total rebounds (234). Mikkelson also stands third in the league in blocks (41) and contributes 72 assists from the forward position. He has posted nine double-digit rebounding games, including a season-high 15 at Mobile, and scored a season-best 20 points against Webber International in the Sun Conference Tournament game on Tuesday.

Nixon rounds out the Fire's honorees after establishing himself as one of the conference's top perimeter threats. The junior guard averages 12.1 points per game and ranks fifth in the Sun Conference in three-pointers made (73), shooting 41.5 percent from beyond the arc. He scored a season-high 28 points at Coastal Georgia and added 27 at St. Thomas. Nixon also ranks fourth in the conference with 105 assists and posts a 2.0 assist-to-turnover ratio, highlighting his efficiency as a primary ball-handler and distributor.

Southeastern finished third in the final Sun Conference regular-season standings, positioning itself for postseason play. The Fire secured a trip to the Sun Conference Semifinals with a win over Webber International on Tuesday night, continuing the momentum built throughout league play.
