LAKELAND, Fla. -- SEU's
Marysa Connors has been recognized as this week's Sun Conference Women's Volleyball Defender of the Week after anchoring the Fire defense in back-to-back sweeps.
Connors was a force in the back row, averaging 6.50 digs per set while totaling 39 digs across two matches. She was steady in serve-receive as well, collecting 31 total receptions with only three errors for a strong .903 reception percentage.
Against Florida College, Connors delivered 20 digs and posted a .929 reception mark, helping Southeastern to a 3-0 home win. She followed that performance with 19 digs and 17 receptions in another 3-0 sweep on the road at Keiser, a victory over a Sun Conference rival.
On the season, Connors ranks fifth in the Sun Conference in digs per set (5.16). This is Connors' second Sun Conference weekly honor of the season.
