LAKELAND, Fla. -- SEU forward
Sara Irurozki has been named the Sun Conference Women's Soccer Offensive Player of the Week for the second straight week following another electric performance for the Fire.
Irurozki recorded her first hat trick of the season — and the first by an SEU player since October 2023 — leading Southeastern to a 4-2 road win over Webber International on Wednesday night. The Donosti, Spain, native was clinical in the attack, converting three of her five shots and placing 80 percent of her attempts on frame.
With the three-goal effort, Irurozki now has five goals through the first two matches and has totaled 11 points to begin the season. Her back-to-back weekly honors reflect a scorching start for both her and the Fire, who are 2-0 for the first time since 2022.
Southeastern will look to continue its momentum on Wednesday, September 3, when the Fire travel to No. 22 Truett McConnell in Cleveland, Ga. Kickoff is set for 5 p.m.
