TEMPLE TERRACE, Fla. -- SEU extended its winning streak to eight games on Thursday night with a 110–72 road win at Florida College, improving to 10-1 overall. The Fire passed the 100-point mark for the fourth time this season and used a dominant final stretch to take full control.
The first half featured several momentum swings. SEU built an early 15–7 lead before Florida College responded to tie the game at 15–15. The Falcons later went ahead 38–37 with just over three minutes remaining, but the Fire closed the half on an 11–6 run, capped by a layup at the horn, to take a 48–44 advantage into the break.

SEU finished with a decisive 52–27 rebounding advantage and generated 30 second-chance points.
Florida College stayed within two possessions early in the second half, trimming the margin to 55–53 before Southeastern began to separate. The Fire responded with steady scoring both inside and from the perimeter to build a double-digit lead. From there, SEU controlled the pace with defensive stops, rebounding, and extended half-court possessions. The turning point came over the final eight minutes: leading 75–65 at the 8:05 mark, Southeastern closed the game on a 35–7 run, holding the Falcons to limited shot attempts and steadily increasing the margin to as many as 38 points.
Southeastern's shooting and efficiency played a significant role in the second-half surge. The Fire shot 53.2 percent from the field and 44.4 percent from three, with 11 players recording points. SEU also converted 19 points off 12 Florida College turnovers, turning defensive pressure into immediate offense and creating several key momentum swings. Combined with the dominant work on the glass, Southeastern steadily widened the gap as the half progressed.
Anthony Kangah added 16 points, and
Nathan Mikkelson scored seven as part of a balanced team effort.
Southeastern returns to action on Tuesday, December 16, traveling to Xenia, Ohio, to face Rio Grande (Ohio) at 7:15 p.m. in the Athletes in Action Christmas at the Wooden showcase.
