No. 2 SEU Dominates Keiser 38–9 in AAC Road Win

Fire record four tech falls and two pins, improving to 2–0 in AAC duals

WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. -- The second-ranked SEU Wrestling team delivered another complete performance on Thursday night, rolling to a 38–9 road victory over Keiser in West Palm Beach. Winning eight of ten bouts and piling up six bonus-point results, the Fire showcased the depth, tempo, and national-caliber execution that continue to define their early-season form. With the win, SEU improves to 2–0 in Appalachian Athletic Conference duals, further strengthening its grip near the top of the AAC standings.

The dual opened at 184 pounds, where Keiser struck first behind No. 13 Sam Libby's fall over No. 15 August Batson at 4:14—one of the Seahawks' two victories on the night. That early blow was short-lived. At 197, No. 2 Kasten Grape immediately answered with a dominant 19–1 technical fall over No. 19 Jett McCauley, leveling the score and flipping momentum firmly to the Fire.

Heavyweight Bryce Wheatley followed with an 8–1 decision over Daguy Massillon to give SEU its first lead, 8–6. Keiser's final points came at 125, where Patrick Jones edged Erick Hair 8–6. From that moment forward, the Fire closed the door emphatically, rattling off seven straight victories.

SEU's nationally ranked lightweights ignited the surge. At 133, No. 1 Aaron Lucio attacked relentlessly in a 16–1 technical fall that ended at 6:11. No. 2 Andrew Voiles mirrored that dominance at 141 with an 18–1 technical fall in 6:13, extending the advantage to 18–9. The Fire widened the margin further at 149 when No. 4 Mario De La Torre delivered a fall at 4:55, giving SEU complete control.

At 157, Austin Scott battled for a hard-earned 4–3 decision before the Fire closed the night with two more bonus-point results. No. 9 Jovon Mitchell powered to a 19–3 technical fall in 5:24 at 165, and 174-pounder Lane Reardon capped the dominant run with a fall at 3:56 over Ronald Butler.

Across all weight classes, Southeastern owned the win-type battle, outscoring Keiser 6–2 in bonus-point bouts. SEU's offense generated four technical falls and two pins, compared to the Seahawks' lone fall and no technical falls. The Fire also claimed a 2–1 advantage in decisions, underscoring the completeness of the team's effort from top to bottom.

The Fire return to action on Saturday, November 22, competing at the Lucha Open in Douglasville, Georgia, where several SEU wrestlers will look to continue their strong start against a deep tournament field.
