KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Southeastern received an at-large bid to the NAIA Softball National Tournament for the third consecutive season and for the seventh time in program history.
The Fire are 38-17 and were the runner-up in last weekend's Sun Conference Tournament and are seeded third in the Lawrenceville Bracket, hosted by Georgia Gwinnett College. The Fire will play the second-seeded host on Monday, May 13
th at 2:30 p.m. Also headed to the Peach State are top-seeded Eastern Oregon which will face either fourth-seeded Missouri Baptist or fifth-seeded Spring Arbor.
They'll be heading to a familiar place in Lawrenceville, Ga. for the third time. Southeastern last appeared in the Lawrenceville Bracket in 2022 when they won it and advanced to the World Series. Southeastern also made the Lawrenceville Bracket in 2018, going 0-2.
The five-team double-elimination bracket begins Monday. With a win, the Fire would play on Wednesday at noon or would play again on Tuesday at 2:30 p.m. in an elimination game. The winner of the bracket will advance to the NAIA Softball World Series in Columbus, Ga. May 23-29.
