Dinkel Resigns as Head Baseball Coach

LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern University Athletics Director Drew Watson announced today that Adrian Dinkel has resigned as head baseball coach.

"My family and I just want to thank the University for the last eight years," said Dinkel. "We feel like we came in here and turned the baseball program into one of the most elite college programs in the country and we're thankful for the opportunity to do so. At this point, it's time for a new chapter for our family, and we're looking forward to accepting a new challenge. We wish the program and University success moving forward."

Dinkel recently completed his eighth season with the Fire and led the team to a pair of NAIA National Championships in 2018 and 2022 and won 50 games in seven of those eight seasons.

"Adrian is an excellent baseball coach who has led the program to an unprecedented level of success, with six Avista NAIA World Series appearances and two national championships in the last eight years. For that we are extremely grateful," said Watson. "We wish him nothing but continued success in his future endeavors."

A national search for the next head coach will begin immediately.
