MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.- All it took was a massive 15-run first inning in the series finale between Southeastern and Florida Memorial to help propel the Fire to a series victory. They won game four 25-1; their largest margin of victory all season, moving them to 32-5 (11-1 SUN) and winning their third conference series in as many tries.
In just the first inning, the Fire sent their starting nine hitters to the plate twice, with the first five batters in the lineup scoring two times in the inning. The offense recorded nine hits, with six different players tallying multi-RBI days in the first inning alone.
The offense stayed hot for the Fire, putting on another ten runs throughout the remainder of the contest, including a six-run fourth inning, with 22 hits accumulated as a team.
Seven Fire hitters had multi-hit days, and seven had multi-RBI games, with every single starter driving in at least one run. Southeastern also threatened with bases loaded in three of the first four innings.
Isaac Nunez led the day with five RBIs, along with a four RBI, 3-for-4 day from
Josh Pigozzo, and a three RBI, 4-for-7 day from
Cristopher Munoz.
