In the latest drop from the US Track and Field and Cross Country Coaches Association Outdoor Track and Field Ratings Index, the Fire slid to 11th from ninth.
The Fire have accumulated 153.80 points in the rating. University of British Columbia leads the way in the rankings by more than 200 points over second, and William Carey sits over third by another 200 points. The third and fourth spots are closely contested by Indiana Tech who is currently third, and Cumberland (Tenn.) who is fourth, the difference there is less than five points. The Master's (Calif.) rounds out the top five with 196 points.
The Fire return to action Saturday at Embry-Riddle (Fla.) for the Eagles Invite in Daytona Beach.
