Southeastern stretched their lead back out to eight by halftime as senior guard Reggie Mesidor outscored St. Thomas by himself in the final minute of the half 7-2. The Fire led 33-25 at halftime, and Mesidor played all 45 minutes of the game and scored 15 points, adding four steals.

St. Thomas would not back down, outscoring the Fire 14-3 in the first four minutes of the second half. Cearius Warren slammed home two of his five points in the contest, giving the Bobcats their first lead at 39-37.

Ja'Quay Randolph quickly regained the Fire the lead, knocking down one of his two threes. Putting them up 40-39 over the Bobcats with 16:05 left . Randolph had 11 points in total.

The Fire got up by as much as nine, as Mesidor knocked down a free throw to put the Fire ahead 62-53 with 5:37 to play.

The Bobcats kept battling, scoring five points in the final minute of regulation. Tying a very intense match at 64.

Overtime started out with a bang for the Bobcats as Milton Matthews hit a stepback three, contributing to his 22 point performance, finishing 50% on the night. After that the Bobcats never looked back, trading baskets with the Fire and in the end securing a four point victory.

The Fire return home on Saturday to take on the Mariners of Coastal Georgia. The game tips off at 4 p.m.
