Defense Earns Win for Men's Soccer

LAKELAND, Fla.- Defense won Southeastern men's soccer their second contest of the season, taking a 1-0 win over Thomas University.
 
The Fire defense held the Night Hawks to just five shots and two on goal the entirety of the 90 minutes.
 
Southeastern got 11 shots off with just one on goal, the game winner from Roque Viegas Jr. in the 62^nd minute off a Chris Thorpe assist.
 
Viegas Jr. netted his second goal in two games after placing it into the upper right corner from just outside the box.
 
Southeastern will next host No. 8 ranked Georgia Gwinnett on Thursday at 7 p.m.
