Women's Soccer Pushes Forward in Sun Conference Play

LAKELAND, Fla-  The Fire women's soccer team continues to stay hot in Sun Conference play, currently sitting in second place in the conference standings with a 3-0-1 conference record and 3-2-1 overall record.

Two more conference games lie ahead for the Fire this week as they look to host Florida Memorial University on Wednesday at 7 p.m. and hit the road on Saturday to Babson Park, Fla. to take on Webber International University at 3:30 p.m.

Madelyn Davidson and Viktoria Lederer both lead the offense with six points each. Davidson leads the team with three goals while Lederer has recorded two goals and two assists.

The Florida Memorial Lions are currently 2-4-2 with an 0-4 record in conference play. The Fire have an impressive eight-game win streak  against the Lions. The Lions will rely on their point and goal leader Kiara Kallie to help break the streak.

The Webber International Warriors will take on the Fire this week with a 1-5-1 record (0-3-1 SUN). The Fire and the Warriors hold a 9-9-2 historical record against each other. Deb Guillen, the team leader in points for the Warriors, will look to push the Warriors to 10 wins all-time against the Fire.
