LAKELAND, Fla.- Southeastern men's soccer (4-1-1, 2-1 SUN) will be in action three times this week.
On Tuesday, the Fire will head back to West Palm Beach, Fla. to resume a contest against No. 13 ranked Keiser University that was suspended on the 16
th due to weather. The contest will pick up in the 59
th minute in a 0-0 contest at 12 p.m.
The following day, the Fire will head to Miami Gardens to take on Florida Memorial for an 11 a.m. contest. The Lions of Florida Memorial hold a current 2-2-2 record and 1-1-1 SUN record and are coming off a 1-0 loss to No. 3 St. Thomas University. Collectively, the Lions average 1.83 goals per contest behind 13.2 shots per game and a .494 shot-on-goal-percentage. Brad Tulley leads the offense with five points behind two goals and an assist. In goal, the Lions have split time between two keepers, posting a collective .600 save percentage.
Last season, the Fire extended their historical record over the Lions to 7-6-1 with a 4-1 win in Lakeland.
A Saturday home contest against Webber International will take place at 1 p.m. to round out the week. The Warriors hold a 2-5-1 overall record and 1-3 SUN record, most recently falling to Keiser University at home 3-1. The offense has been outscored 17-7 for an average of .88 goals per contest and just 9.5 shots per game. Of the Warriors' seven goals, three belong to Ruben Marquez. Ben Parkinson holds a .634 save percentage with 26 saves on 41 shots faced.
The Fire and the Warriors met one time last season with Southeastern taking a 2-1 win in Babson Park to extend their historical record to 9-7-1 over the Warriors.
The Fire currently average 2.17 goals per contest and sit second in the SUN in shots with 98 for an average of 16.3 per game.
Victor Cavalcante is coming off a two-goal night against Warner University and now leads the Fire with four goals.
Roque Viegas Jr. has been a part of five Fire goals, finishing two and assisting on three.
Henrique Cavalini currently holds a .682 save percentage with 15 saves on 22 shots faced.
