LAKELAND, Fla.- Southeastern showed out in their home opener, taking a one-sided sweep over Trinity College of Florida to move to 10-2 on the season.

The Fire posted a season-best .623 attack percentage, not falling below .500 in any of the three sets.

Grace Petty led the way offensively with 12 kills while also posting nine digs.
Alexandra Marshall had a season-best night with six kills and an .857 attack percentage.
Alexandra Postlethwaite led the team in assists with 22.

Southeastern took set one 25-5 with six straight points to open the contest. After extending their lead to 10-2,
Ava Connors went to the service line eight-straight times with two aces to extend the Fire lead to 17-2.
Olivia Williams also went on a five-point run at the service line to conclude the set. Collectively, the Fire hit .526 with 11 kills in set one.

The offense exploded even more in set two, posting a game-best attack percentage of .778 with 14 kills to take set two 25-8.

The Tigers fought back in set three, leading the Fire 7-6 at one point. A 12-point run with Postlethwaite on the line crushed any Tiger momentum, giving the Fire the 19-7 lead. Petty concluded the set and contest with a kill, advancing the Fire's win total to 10.

Southeastern opens Sun Conference play this weekend as they host receiving votes St. Thomas University at 2 p.m.
