Box Score MIAMI GARDENS, Fla.- Southeastern men's soccer (3-1-1, 1-1 SUN) were handed their first loss of the season tonight by the No. 3 team in the NAIA, St. Thomas University, falling 2-0 in Miami Gardens, Fla.

The Fire set themselves up for success with multiple chances in the first half, outshooting the Bobcats 8-5 including a shot just eight minutes in by Ridwane Boukkra that deflected off the crossbar. Down to the final two minutes of the first half,
Kory Nekoloff nearly put the Fire ahead, but a save by the Bobcat goalie sent both teams to the locker room scoreless.

The Bobcat defense regrouped during the break, holding the Fire to just two shots in the second half while getting off 12.

Henrique Cavalini managed two exceptional saves within a one-minute span in the 67
th minute to keep the contest scoreless but the Bobcats managed to find the back of the net just a minute later to take the lead.

Down to the final 13 seconds of play and trailing a goal, Southeastern aligned for a last-ditch-effort corner kick, including Cavalini in the alignment near goal. The Bobcats managed to come away with the free ball, take it all the way back down field, and score on the empty net as the clock hit zero for the 2-0 win.

Cavalini concluded the contest with eight saves while
Victor Cavalcante managed a team-high four shots.
