Women’s Soccer 15th in First Rating

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Southeastern slipped four spots after opening its 2023 women's soccer season with a pair of Top 10 losses.
 
The Fire sit at 15th in the first in-season rating released by the national office Wednesday morning. The rating was voted upon by a panel of head coaches representing each of the conferences and unaffiliated groups.
 
Southeastern is one of three Sun Conference teams in the poll behind No. 5 Keiser which the Fire host on Saturday, and No. 12 SCAD Savannah. St. Thomas is receiving votes and is just seven points outside of the Top 25.
 
The Fire are in action this evening at Ave Maria for their Sun Conference opener at 7 p.m.
