LAKELAND, Fla.- After taking down Webber International earlier in the week by a score of 89-76 in the Sun Conference Quarterfinals, Southeastern women's basketball will now have to get by second-seeded St. Thomas University on Friday at 4 p.m. to earn a spot in the SUN Tournament Finals.

The semifinal contest between the Fire and the Bobcats will take place at top-seeded Florida Memorial University.

Southeastern entered the tournament as the three seed and advanced to the next round with a win over the sixth-seeded Warriors. The offense as a whole was firing on all cylinders as the Fire would go 59% from the field and 59% from distance to take down the Warriors. Anja Knoflach was near perfection in her season-best night, tallying 30 points after going 11-14 from the field and 6-7 from distance to aid in the Fire victory. Kiki Britzmann was the Fire's second-half leader as she would tally 16 of her 26 total points in the second half and conclude the contest going 10-12 from midrange and 4-5 from three-point range. Knoflach and Britzmann also both grabbed nine rebounds each.

After concluding the regular season with a 21-7 and 12-3 SUN record, the second-seeded Bobcats earned a bye into the semifinal round.
