LAKELAND, Fla.- After a 3-1 start to their season, Southeastern women's basketball will be in action twice this weekend as they host receiving votes Montana Western on Friday at 5 p.m. and receiving votes John Brown on Saturday at 7 p.m. for the SEU Classic.

Through their first two weeks of the season, the Fire have shot 41% from the field and 30% from three-point range for an average of 68.5 points per game while the defense has held opponents to just 50.3 points per game. The offense has been captained by
Anja Knoflach and
Bekki Kalaydjiev who average 14 and 13.5 points respectively. Knoflach has shot 55% from the field and 44% from distance while Kalaydjiev holds a .375 field goal percentage while also leading the team in assists and steals.

The rebounding effort has been led by
Rebecca Cook who averages 6.3 per game in just 21.3 minutes per contest.

Montana Western comes into the new week with a 3-2 record, dropping their last two contests to No. 10 Lewis-Clark State and No. 17 Eastern Oregon. The Bulldogs average 76.8 points per game, shooting 45% from the field and 36% from beyond the arc. Two different players average over 20 points per game in Jordan Sweeney and Shainy Mack. Mack averages 20.4 points per game behind a .514 field goal percentage and .444 (20-45) three-point percentage, both team highs. Sweeney averages 20.6 points per game, shooting .45% from the field while also leading the team in rebounds with 5.4 per game.

The Golden Eagles of John Brown hold a 2-2 record, averaging 61 points per game behind a .418 field goal percentage and .356 three-point percentage. Emily Sanders leads the offense with 15.3 points per game, shooting 60% (18-30) from the field and 50% (9-18) from three-point range. Bella Irlenborn leads the defense with six boards per contest.
