LAKELAND, Fla.- The final week of the regular season for Southeastern volleyball will see two more Sun Conference contests as they head to Ave Maria on Wednesday for a 7 p.m. contest and host Florida Memorial University on Saturday at 2 p.m. for the regular season finale.

The Fire hold a current 10-2 SUN record and have clinched the No. 2 spot in next week's conference tournament behind the top-seeded St. Thomas University Bobcats (12-0 SUN).

Southeastern currently averages 12.8 kills per set with a .229 attack percentage, both of which rank second in the SUN behind the Bobcats. The offense has been led by
Grace Petty and
Emilia Harding who have recorded d238 and 204 kills. Petty has also been instrumental in the defensive efforts, leading the team in digs with 249 while
Tatyana Lyons has recorded a team-best 67 blocks.
Alexandra Postlethwaite averages 8.24 assists per set with 16 service aces.

The Gyrenes hold a 5-8 SUN record and currently sit fifth in the conference standings while Florida Memorial's 2-10 SUN record has them at the bottom of the standings.

The offense which holds a .158 attack percentage and 10.7 kills per game is led by Zelie Kessler who has recorded 181 kills. Defensively, Beatriz Rissi has recorded 69 blocks to captain a defense that holds opponents to a .199 attack percentage.

Southeastern took the first meeting between these two teams 3-1 earlier in the season.

Defense has been the downfall for the Lions this season with opponents hitting .256 against them compared to their own attack percentage of .176. Caroline Souza holds a team-high 136 kills while Olivia Dodd has recorded 135 digs.

The Fire swept the Lions earlier this season in Miami Gardens to move their historical record to 34-4 over the Lions.
