Nekoloff and Offense Takes Down Bees

LAKELAND, Fla.- A two-goal night by Kory Nekoloff highlighted the 4-1 Sun Conference win over SCAD-Savannah, moving the Fire to 6-2-2 and 4-2-1 in conference play.

Nekoloff's first goal of the night came in the 36th minute to put the Fire up 1-0 after he took a loose ball from a save by the keeper and put it into the bottom left corner.

The Bees' lone goal of the night tied the contest in the 56th minute after a header into the bottom right off a corner kick.

Edoardo Venutolo's third goal of the season broke the tie eight minutes later after he took an assist from Marko Pengili and buried it into the top left corner from outside the box.

In the 71st minute, Nekoloff's fourth goal of the season and second of the night came in nearly identical fashion from his first after he found the loose ball on a blocked shot and turned it into a 3-1 Fire lead.

The final Fire goal came after a foul in the box set Victor Cavalcante up for a penalty kick in the 83rd minute.

Southeastern will next look to Ave Maria University on the road on Saturday at 7 p.m.
