LAKELAND, Fla.- Southeastern men's soccer fell just one goal short against the No. 17 ranked Seahawks of Keiser University tonight, moving to 8-4-2 and 6-4-1 in Sun Conference play with a 2-1 loss.

Both teams were held scoreless in the first half with the Fire taking four shots while holding the Seahawks to just two.

After losing a player to two yellow cards, the Fire were forced to play a man down for nearly 50 minutes.

Despite being down a man, the Fire still managed to outshoot the Seahawks 7-6 in the second half.

The first goal of the night came in the 59th minute after Finn Tyson gave the Seahawks the 1-0 lead.

After a foul in the box, Southeastern took advantage of a penalty kick as Victor Cavalacante beat the keeper with a shot into the bottom right in the 63rd minute.

The Seahawks found the go-ahead and game-winning goal in the 73rd minute after a cross from the left side of the field was put into the top right corner.

The Fire will next take on Webber International on October 21st at home at 3:30 p.m.
