LAKELAND, Fla.- Coming off a huge Sun Conference victory over Keiser University that solidified their fourth-place conference spot, Southeastern University men's basketball will face Ave Maria University on Thursday at 7:30 p.m. in The Furnace.

The Fire hold a current 9-11 overall record and 5-3 SUN record after their win over the Seahawks and are currently average 75.8 points per game behind a field goal percentage of 46.4% and a three-point percentage of 33.1%.
Riley Minix sits as the current Sun Conference leader in points (26.6/game), rebounding (13.9/game), field goal percentage (60%), and blocks (two/game). In conference play,
Sean Shore averages a double-double with 11 points per game and 10.1 rebounds per game.
Jalan Mull has also had success against SUN competitors, shooting 52.3% from the field for an average of 12.3 points per game while
Reggie Mesidor has drained 20 three-point shots for a .392 three-point percentage.

Holding the sixth-place spot in the SUN, the Gyrenes hold an 11-7 overall record and 4-4 SUN record while averaging 77 points per game behind a .463 field goal percentage. Chayse Culpepper leads the Gyrene offense with 16. 6 points per game while Houston Culpepper leads the defense with 7.5 rebounds per game. Jonathan Effertz has been the second-leading scorer for the Gyrenes in conference play as he averages 13 points per game with a .406 effort from the field.

Southeastern will look for redemption after dropping their last contest on the road to the Gyrenes by a narrow 79-76 final, moving to 20-9 all-time against the Gyrenes.
