Silva Grabs AAC Weekly Honors

LAKELAND, Fla.- After a 2-0 week at the Florida Duals, junior Sal Silva has been named the Appalachian Athletic Conference Wrestler of the Week.
 
In his two matches, Silva earned his team 10 points with a pair of technical fall victories.
 
Against Kade Clute of St. Thomas, the No. 3 ranked 157-pounder took a 21-4 victory after tallying near-fall points at the end of the second period.
 
The junior would then go on to grab another technical fall win over Brady Ellison of Keiser by a score of 18-3 in the third period.
 
Silva and the No. 3 Fire will be back in action on January 20^th as they compete against Missouri Valley International in Marshall, Missouri.
