LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern tied No. 14 Lindsey Wilson Saturday night in a 2-2 contest which saw three of the four goals scored in a seven-minute span in the second half.
A free kick by
Lucas Nishioka set up a goal for Antonio Mara in the seventh minute of play which stood up as the lone tally of the first 45 minutes.
The Blue Raiders (0-2-1) evened things up in the 71
st minute on a shot off the post that was rebounded by Alexander Koziolek. Just over two minutes later,
Edoardo Venutolo finished a ball from
Marcello Cruz to the near post to put the Fire (1-1-2) back on top 2-1.
In the 79
th minute, Sadam Masereka knotted the game back up to finish in a tie.
The teams combined for just seven shots on goal with four going to Southeastern. The Fire also had the majority of the corner kick opportunities with seven to Lindsey Wilson's six.
Southeastern will host Middle Georgia State at 2 p.m. on Monday.
