LAKELAND, Fla.- After going 2-0 last week in Illinois to open the 2022 season, the No. 20 ranked Southeastern University women's soccer team will compete in their home opener this weekend as they face the challenge of the 2021 NAIA National Tournament Runner-Up, William Carey University, Saturday at 4:00 p.m.
Through their first two contests, the Fire have outscored their opponents six goals to one, half of which belong to senior
Naira Lopez.
As a team, the Fire have gotten off 15.5 shots per game and have put 16 shots on goal for a .516 shot on goal percentage.
In goal, Michaela Owen and
Holly Eddins have combined for nine saves and allowed just one goal.
The No. 2 ranked Crusaders also come into the contest with a 2-0 record and have posted 10 goals through just two contests while allowing one.
Alyssia Davis leads the Crusaders offense with three goals on four shots with Julia Herbst, Kauany Sousa, and Maria Azarias each have recorded two.
At keeper, Marlen Kelm has recorded a .750 save percentage after allowing just one goal and three saves.
