Football Breaks into NAIA Top 25

KANSAS CITY, Mo.—Southeastern made its 2022 debut in the NAIA Football FirstDown Playbook Top 25, released after the first three weeks of the season.
 
The Fire checked in at 24th following a 3-0 start to the season.
 
Wins over North American University, Savannah State, and Florida Memorial have powered SEU to its third 3-0 start in four years.
 
On offense, SEU is 20th nationally in points per game at 38.3 and are 12th in total passing yards at 731 and 11th in total rushing at 538. The defense leads the NAIA in touchdowns with three on an interception and two fumbles returned for scores.
 
Southeastern is 17th in scoring defense at 13.3 points per game allowed and has held opponents to an average of 283 yards per game.
 
The Fire will return to action on September 24th for a non-conference game at St. Thomas.
