Mead, Sanders, and Cunningham Earn All-Tournament Honors

LAKELAND, Fla.- Three members of the Southeastern University softball team were named to the 2022 Sun Conference All-Tournament Team for their roles in the Fire's SUN Tournament runner-up title this past weekend.
 
Jamie Mead, Riley Sanders, and Chapel Cunningham were all recipients of the All-Tournament honors.
 
Mead concluded the five game tournament posting 10 hits, four doubles, four runs scored, and three RBI's to end the tournament with a .556 average and .778 slugging percentage. The Fire's second baseman also was perfect in the field through 16 chances.
 
Cunningham rounded out the tournament with five hits through twelve at bats (.417 avg) with three runs scored, three walks, and an RBI for an overall on base percentage of .533. The freshman first baseman also led the Fire in chances on defense and posted a .968 fielding percentage.
 
Sanders wrapped up her first SUN Tournament with a .400 average after recording eight hits, five runs scored, two RBI's, and going a perfect 6-6 in stolen bases.
 
The Fire will next advance to the NAIA Opening Round this weekend at a location to be named on Tuesday.
