LAKELAND, Fla.—Southeastern University has set its 2022 football schedule, released this morning.
The 10-game slate features six home games, starting on August 27
th with all 10 games will be played in the state of Florida.
"We are looking forward to taking on some talented teams in Florida," said coach
Cesar Rivas-Sandoval. "It's great for our fans and players' families to be able watch games in their own backyards. Each year this conference grows in strength, and we will continue to push each other to get better, and I have no doubt that the teams from our conference will continue to represent Florida football in a big way on the national level."
The first three games of the season will all be at Victory Field with the Fire playing host to North American University in the home opener, Florida Memorial on September 10
th then the University of Fort Lauderdale on September 17
th. The first road trip of the season will be the final non-conference game of the season at St. Thomas on September 24
th.
Southeastern will travel to Ave Maria to begin Sun Conference play on October 1
st. This marks the first season since 2016 The Sun has sponsored football. October 8
th is the first home SUN game against county rival Webber International.
Following a bye, the Fire will host Keiser for Homecoming on October 22
nd. Kickoff is at 7 p.m. and features postgame fireworks. Last season, SEU knocked off then sixth-ranked Keiser in West Palm Beach.
The Fire will embark on their final two road games of the season on October 29
th to Florida Memorial and on November 5
th to Warner. The regular season closes on November 12
th at home against St. Thomas.
April 9
th will be the first opportunity for fans to see the 2022 Fire as the team hosts their annual spring showcase and select-a-seat event at 6 p.m. The event will feature a yard sale, food truck, giveaways, and more. To register for this event, go to
