LAKELAND, Fla.- The No. 18 Southeastern University Men's Basketball team will take on Ave Maria this evening at 5:00 p.m. in Lake Wales for the 2021-22 Sun Conference Tournament Semifinals. The Fire are 22-6 for the season and 12-4 in conference play.

The Ave Maria Gyrenes are 20-10 this season with 11-5 in conference play. The Gyrenes are coming off a win against the Keiser University Seahawks, 64-62 at Donahue Gym in Ave Maria. The win pushed the Gyrenes to their fourth consecutive season with 20 wins, sending them to Lake Wales for the SUN Final Four. AMU averages 77.8 points a game and 29.6 field goals made per game. The leading scorers for Ave Maria are Eric Klekas (15.8 PPG), Daryl Lewis (15.5 PPG), and Chase Culpepper (13.6 PPG).

The Fire are coming off a regular season win against Keiser University, 93-88. The second-seeded team averages 82.9 points per game and makes 11.6 three-pointers per game as well. The leading scorers for the Fire are
Riley Minix (23.2 PPG),
Jordan Gorman (10.6 PPG), and
Reggie Mesidor (10.6 PPG).

SEU went 2-0 against AMU this season, defeating the Gyrenes 101-86 at home on November 13 and 106-75 in Ave Maria on January 19.
