LAKELAND, Fla.- The recently ranked top team in the nation and Sun Conference Regular Season Champions, the Southeastern University women's basketball team will head into their last week of regular season play this week as they travel to West Palm Beach on Thursday to take on Keiser University at 5:30 p.m.

The Seahawks come into the final week with an 18-9 overall record and 8-6 SUN record and are coming off of an 85-58 win against Florida National University last week. As a team, the Seahawks average 69.4 points per game behind a 39.7% field goal percentage and 32.7% three-point percentage. The defense has registered an average of 47.4 rebounds per game but ball control has been a weak spot for the Seahawks as they average 20.5 turnovers a contest. Shykim Gillion has recorded 275 points for an average of 10.2 a game to put her name at the top of the offensive categories for the Seahawks. Angela Denis has held down the defensive responsibilities with 227 total rebounds and an average of 8.4 per game.

Heading into the final week with the regular season SUN title clinched and the top NAIA ranking, the Fire average 84.3 points per game behind a 48.4% effort from the field and a 37.1% average from three-point range.
Angela Perry has led the Fire in every facet all season as she has registered 504 points through her time on the court and averages nearly 20 points a game. She is also the team's leading rebounder with 172 rebounds and an average of 6.6 per contest.
Marta Aranda comes in as the Fire's second leading scorer with a total of 279 while also recording 97 assists, trailing only to Tahannee Bennell's 113 assists.

History between these teams falls in favor of the Fire as they took the last meeting this year by a score of 85-58 to advance their overall record to 19-8 over the Seahawks. Perry rounded out that contest with 15 points and six rebounds while
Raegan Linster and Aranda each recorded 10 points.
